SYCET Charity Golf Tournament - Tuesday 8th July 2008 – Littlehampton Golf Club

Sussex Young Cricketers Educational Trust (SYCET) is holding its 3rd Charity Golf Tournament at Littlehampton Golf Club on Tuesday 8th July to help raise funds once again for the continuance of the Trusts’ activities and facilities.

At last years tournament you raised over £5000.00, which went towards machinery and equipment to be used by the ground staff at the Sussex Academy Cricket Ground, located at Blackstone, 8 miles north of Brighton. The ground is the envy of the other First Class Counties and praised for the quality of the playing surfaces, in particular the pitches. As we are all aware it is vitally important for the development of young cricketers that they get the benefits of County standard wickets; so to enable our groundsman to create the desired conditions throughout the season, he now has the best machinery available. All he lacks is a secure store to keep his equipment. So our objective for 2008 is to raise the money for such a building, to replace the containers in which the mowers, rollers, etc. are currently stored.

We invite you to support the tournament again this year and to help raise those much-needed funds by either:

a) Entering a Team

b) Sponsoring Tees and/or Greens and/or on-course competitions

c) Providing raffle prizes

d) OR - all of the above
