VICE PRESIDENT INITIATIVE

The Vice President initiative will invite a select group of well known players, ex players, cricket celebrities, and enthusiasts, to a formal dinner to be held at The County Ground, Hove, on Friday 4th April.

Venue : The Jim Parks Bar, County Ground, Hove

Date : Friday 4th April

Time : 7.00 pm for 7.30 pm

Dress : Black Tie

VIP Guests : Robin Marlar, Jim Parks, John Snow, Chris Adams

It is not our intention to charge anyone attending the dinner as we hope you will feel able to join those of your fellow Sussex supporters who have already invested their backing as Vice-Presidents for the good of Sussex Young Cricketers, some of whom are disabled or partially sighted.
The details of this officially registered charitable trust are contained in the ‘Friends’ brochure –available by clicking on the button on the left hand side of this page - and brought to life in the DVD –a copy of which will be sent to Vice Presidents via the post, and which features Michael Atherton, Robin Marlar, John Snow and Chris Adams along with other well known cricketing figures.

By becoming a Vice-President the benefits you will receive are:

o Sussex County Cricket Club Standard Membership;

o Full Executive Club rights at home County Championship matches;

o Membership of The Sussex Cricket Society;

o Membership of The Sussex Archivians (friends of the cricket museum);

o Your name on an Honours Board at The County Ground, Hove;

o Invitation to an annual VP event at the Blackstone Academy Ground;

o Invitation to an annual VP Dinner during the off season;

o A SYCET tie, cravat, or scarf;

o A copy of the annual SYCET newsletter.

At a more altruistic level we trust that you have already recognised the many social, behavioural, and health benefits that young people derive from participating in the great game of cricket, at any level. This and the sheer enjoyment of playing and being part of a team, is what you could help us bring to thousands of boys and girls across Sussex. You will also be helping to create the next generation of professional players and ensuring that the glories of recent seasons can be repeated in years to come.

A more comprehensive description of the work of SYCET can be found on this site but in the meantime if you have any queries or know others who would be interested in our scheme do please phone the SYCET Management Committee Chairman, Hugh Griffiths, on 07768 552682 at any time.

We are confident that donations of a minimum of one thousand pounds a year for three years are a realistic request to secure a SYCET Vice Presidency and I do hope that you will be able to join us on the 4th April

Those attending will, I am sure, enjoy an entertaining evening for all present, as well as a successful one for our worthy cause.

Yours sincerely

Richard Greenwood DL

President
