SYCET was pleased to support the Angus Glens Moorland Group (AGMG)’s Schools Visits, and joined forces with them and BASC Scotland for the last of four visits to estates in the Angus Glens on Friday 7th June.
Thirty-two children from Brechin Community Campus, Websters High School in Kirriemuir and Mearns Academy in Laurencekirk learnt about venison butchery and the estate’s hill ponies, as well as touring the estate to see the stags and having a go at clay pigeon shooting, before enjoying a delicious game barbecue prepared by Joe from Game Changer BBQ.
Many thanks to Lianne and the estate staff for hosting, and to BASC’s Colin and Donald for the clay pigeon instruction.
